5 Ways to Optimize Twitter
Online marketers and home business entrepreneurs both want to know how Twitter and Google’s search engine relate to one another. The 5 methods in this article will not only clear up any misunderstandings that you might have, but will also give you some tips to optimize your tweets.
1. Your account and user name.
Any name you use should relate to the subject of your business or brand of your product. Since everyone’s user name is at the end of their Twitter URL, followers can recall it very easily. The name of your account comes right after your user name. Now, your account name and user name can be exactly the same or they can be different from one another. Whatever name you choose for your account should advertise your company and you, the leader.
2. Your bio description.
There are two ways to go about optimizing your bio page. First, you can only use SEO keywords, but this is easily noticed by viewers since Twitter only gives you 160 characters to use. Then, on the other side of the spectrum, there are marketers that prefer a more “personal” approach. There is an upside and downside to this theory; the descriptions relate to the viewer, but there is not much of a chance to optimize search engines.
3. Optimizing your tweets.
Your tweet’s lead in, or first several words, are more relevant than any other part of your tweet. Experts have done the research and have found that the beginning of a tweet is more important to a search engine than the end of a tweet. This is because the beginning of a tweet is what determines its title tag. So, remember that the first 30 or 40 letters and numbers are what count the most. Also, a good balance between your keyword density and conversational content is key to maintaining a personal tone.
4. You need to be retweetable.
On Twitter, any tweet cannot be longer than 140 letters and numbers. Because of this, people find it difficult to post their original tweet with their retweet and user name. And, you should expect the user names of the retweeters to be included. Tweets are extremely viral and can spread like wildfire; make certain your tweets stay under 120 characters to make room for user name placement.
5. Getting the word out.
Write articles about social networks and press releases that include your business’s URL. This is a great way to spread the name of your company and your products. Do not forget to implement YouTube into your marketing scheme. Any news or instructional videos are perfect for letting people know about your twitter page.

Branding is huge when it comes to getting your name out, your businesses name, or your name. If people can recognize a logo or name and know what it is, then you’ve done your job.
